Great news!  My painting, "Into the Woods" just won a First Place out of over 200 paintings at the Women Artists of the West 40th National Juried Exhibition and Sale in El Cajon, CA!  Another painting, "An Adobe Welcome" won a Juror's Choice Award.  The Awards Juror and Award of Excellence Winner was renowned and accomplished painter Peggi Kroll-Roberts, so I am especially honored with this achievement!  The show runs through June 30 at the Olaf Wieghorst Museum and can also be seen online at the Women Artists of the West website, www.waow.org. All work is for sale and a portion of the proceeds benefit the Wieghorst Museum and WAOW, both nonprofit organizations.
